Frequently Asked Questions

Arabic is read from right to left and letters can change shape depending on their position. Start with whole words, their pictures and recordings. Let familiar meanings guide you while you gradually recognize recurring letter shapes and short expressions.

Chinese characters carry meaning, while listening helps you notice pronunciation and tone. Study a small set of illustrated words together with their recordings. Repeated examples make it easier to recognize a word in a sentence instead of treating every character as an isolated symbol.

English spelling does not always tell you how a word sounds. Pair each written word with its recording and illustration. Begin with a few familiar people, objects and actions, then recognize those words again in short sentences.

French spelling and pronunciation do not always line up letter by letter. Listen to each new word alongside its picture and written form. Notice short words such as articles and pronouns, then hear how familiar words fit into a sentence.

Meet useful German words in illustrated scenes before reading longer passages. Pay attention to the short words that accompany a noun and the position of the verb. Repeated listening helps you recognize the whole expression instead of translating every piece separately.

Listen, look at the picture and say the word aloud if you can. When you meet an Italian noun, notice the article beside it. The course then brings familiar vocabulary together in short sentences and guided story moments.

Japanese uses several writing systems. You can begin by connecting the written words you see with a picture, meaning and recording, without trying to master every character first. Revisit short expressions and notice how the same word appears in different scenes.

Korean letters form syllable blocks. Listen while looking at each word so that its written shape and sound become familiar together. Use the picture and translation as support, then test recognition in a short exercise before moving on.

Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet, and a familiar-looking letter may sound different from what you expect. Follow the recording while looking at a short word. Pictures and translations support recognition before you meet the vocabulary again in a sentence.
