The Red Scarf Left on the Paddington Bench
A1 · Mystery & Crime

Leo works at Paddington Station in London. It is late at night. The station is quiet.

Leo cleans the station. He sees a beautiful red scarf on a bench. He picks it up.

He looks at the scarf. There is a small silver tag. The tag has a name, "Anna," and a phone number.

Leo calls the number. A man answers. He sounds worried.

"Hello," Leo says. "I have a red scarf. The tag says Anna."

"Oh! My mother's scarf!" the man says. "We are coming now."

Soon, a man and an old woman walk to Leo.

"My scarf!" the woman says with a smile. She looks very happy.

The man gives Leo some chocolates. "Thank you," he says.

Leo feels warm and happy. The mystery of the red scarf is solved.
