Even though clothing can be for anyone, the word 'traje' is always masculine. So, you'll always say 'el traje' (the suit) or 'un traje bonito' (a nice suit).

It's a Masculine Noun

This is a super useful pattern. Just add 'de' + another word to describe a specific outfit: 'traje de baño' (swimsuit), 'traje de buzo' (diving suit), 'traje de luces' (bullfighter's costume).

The verb 'traer' (to bring) is irregular in the past tense. The stem changes to 'traj-'. So for 'I brought', it's 'traje'. For 'he/she brought', it's 'trajo'. Notice there are no accent marks on these forms!

An Irregular Past Tense Verb

You can use 'traje' for more than just physical things. You can also 'bring' news, problems, or memories. For example: 'Te traje buenas noticias' (I brought you good news).
