Who is 'necesitas' for?

This form is specifically for talking to one person you know well, like a friend or family member (the 'tú' form). For someone you don't know, or to show respect, you would use 'necesita'.

Needing to DO something

When you need to do an action, just add the second verb right after it in its original form (ending in -ar, -er, or -ir). For example: 'Necesitas comer' (You need to eat).

Don't add 'a' or 'de'

Mistake:Necesitas a estudiar. / Necesitas de estudiar.

Correction: Necesitas estudiar. When one verb follows another like this ('need to study'), you usually don't need a small word in between them in Spanish.
