How to Say "to fancy" in Spanish
The Spanish word for “to fancy” is “apetecer” — B1 level. This is a very common word in everyday Spanish.

Examples
¿Te apetece una pizza?
Do you feel like a pizza?
No me apetece salir hoy porque estoy cansado.
I don't feel like going out today because I'm tired.
Me apetecería mucho ir a la playa este verano.
I would really fancy going to the beach this summer.
The 'Gustar' Rule
This word works like 'gustar.' You don't say 'I fancy the coffee'; you say 'To me, the coffee is fancy-able.' Put the person who wants something at the start as 'me, te, le, nos, os, or les'.
Using Actions
If you feel like doing an activity, use the base form of the verb right after: 'Me apetece comer' (I feel like eating).
The 'Yo' Trap
Mistake: “Yo apetezco un helado.”
Correction: Me apetece un helado. Even though 'apetezco' is a real word form, we almost never use it. Use the 'me/te/le' structure instead.
