Flat 6

Dorothy sits at her table. She picks up her pen. She writes: 'Dear Priya. I have to tell you the truth. Your first card was for Flat 7. I am in Flat 6. I am sorry I did not say this sooner.' She pushes the note under Priya's door. That night, Dorothy does not sleep. In the morning, she looks at the floor. There is no note.

Then she hears a knock. She opens the door. It is Priya. She is young and she is smiling. She has two cups of tea. 'I know,' Priya says. 'I knew in week two. But I liked writing to you.' Dorothy laughs. They sit together with their tea. Dorothy is happy. The note went to the wrong door, but she found a right friend.
