Make sense of what you’re practicing
A study guide, not an official list
The current JLPT does not publish fixed lists of vocabulary, kanji and grammar. Level labels here are study estimates. Use the official sample questions to understand the actual exam format.
Learn readings in words
A kanji can have several readings. Learn 学 through 学校 (がっこう) and 学生 (がくせい), rather than assuming one sound always applies. Vocabulary quizzes test whole-word readings.
Bring words back into context
A short quiz is useful for recall, but a word’s meaning depends on context. Explore the Japanese vocabulary library for sense-based translations and original story examples.
