A Birthday Surprise

Leo is confused. He looks at the old woman. Why is she worried? He decides to leave the cafe. He turns to the door. At that moment, a young woman walks in. She sees the ticket in Leo's hand and smiles. 'My ticket! I lost it yesterday,' she says. Leo is surprised. 'This is your ticket?' 'Yes! Today is my birthday,' she says. 'The note is from my grandmother.' She points to the old woman. The old woman smiles now. Her eyes are kind again. 'This cafe is our usual place,' the young woman explains. 'The man at the station is my uncle. He did not want a stranger to ruin the surprise.' Now, Leo understands. The mystery is over. The young woman smiles at Leo. 'Please, stay. Have some birthday cake with us.'
