Valeria didn't reply to Daniela. She opened the phone's gallery. The full screenshot that Lucia sent her was there, still. She opened it again.
Part 4: Casi todo
Valeria rereads the full screenshot obsessively, trying to decide if context changes everything or just almost everything — and when Daniela's messages grow more urgent, Valeria finally makes a decision that will change everything in Part 5.
Valeria didn't reply to Daniela. She opened the phone's gallery. The full screenshot that Lucia sent her was there, still. She opened it again.
She read the screenshot once more. 'Don't attack her so much either.' Then: 'she is TOO intense. sometimes it's truly embarrassing.' Both phrases were from the same person. From the same chat. From the same minute.
luci. is daniela defending me or not?
it depends on how you read it
Valeria looked at that phrase for a long time. 'It depends on how you read it.' It was the most honest answer Lucia could give. And the one that helped the least.
i mean... if I read it well, she defends me a bit
and if I read it badly, she calls me embarrassing in front of everyone
yes. that's it
and how do you read it?
yes
val, whatever it is... you're going to be okay
and hey. the show. you have to come down, val
Valeria opened the gallery again. The full screenshot once more. She read it one more time, slowly, from Sara's first message to Daniela's emoji at the end. She counted the messages. There were ten. Only one said something good.
VAL. where are you??
you should be here by now. we start in twenty minutes
everyone is already in the dressing rooms except you
Valeria listened to the audio. Then she opened the gallery for the last time. She looked at the screenshot. Then she looked at Daniela's chat. Then the screenshot again. The image was small on the screen but the words were very clear.
She closed the gallery. She opened Daniela's chat. She watched the cursor blinking in the text field. She started writing.
One checkmark. Then two gray checkmarks. Valeria had sent something to Daniela.
