The '-mente' Ending

Just like English uses '-ly' to turn adjectives into adverbs, Spanish uses '-mente'. You take the feminine form of the adjective 'rara' and add 'mente' to describe how an action is done.

Flexible Placement

You can place 'raramente' before the verb (Raramente voy) or after the verb (Voy raramente). Putting it at the beginning of the sentence adds a bit more emphasis.

Confusing 'Raro' and 'Raramente'
