Word Order Tip

In Spanish, we usually put the things that are plentiful AFTER the verb. For example: 'Abundan los pinos' sounds more natural than 'Los pinos abundan'.

Using 'en' with Abundar

If you want to say a place is 'rich in' something, use the word 'en'. Example: 'La zona abunda en recursos' (The area is rich in resources).

Confusing with 'Haber'

Mistake:Using 'Hay abundar' to say 'There is a lot'.

Correction: Just use 'Abunda' by itself. Instead of 'Hay abundar comida', say 'Abunda la comida'.
