The Apology Formula

When used this way, 'sentimos' is almost always followed by 'mucho' (very) or a noun describing the thing you are sorry about, like 'las molestias' (the inconvenience).

Using the Reflexive Form to Apologize

Mistake:Do not say 'Nos sentimos su pérdida' (We feel ourselves your loss). The verb *sentirse* is for internal state. Use the non-reflexive 'Sentimos su pérdida' (We regret/sympathize with your loss).
