Make sense of what you’re practicing
Read words in context
The dictionary analyzes words within a sentence. 生 can have different readings in 学生 and 生きる; pasting a whole sentence gives the analyzer more context. Proper names and unusual compounds still need review.
Keep the kana where it belongs
Readings sit above the kanji, with leading and trailing kana kept outside the ruby annotation. Compounds keep their reading together instead of inventing one reading per character.
Make it your reading aid
Add kanji you know to hide unnecessary readings. Correct a reading before copying plain text or ruby HTML. Original line breaks are preserved; half-width Japanese characters are normalized.
