How to Say "to graduate" in Spanish
The Spanish word for “to graduate” is “graduar” — A2 level. This is a very common word in everyday Spanish.

Examples
Me voy a graduar de la universidad el próximo mayo.
I am going to graduate from university next May.
¿Cuándo se graduó tu hermano?
When did your brother graduate?
La universidad graduó a más de mil estudiantes este año.
The university graduated more than a thousand students this year.
The 'Se' Requirement
When talking about yourself or someone else finishing school, you usually add 'se' (graduarse). Use 'graduar' without 'se' only when the school is the one giving the degree.
The Hidden Accent
In the present tense, the 'u' gets a little accent mark (gradúo) in all forms except for 'we' and 'you all' in Spain. This helps you pronounce the 'u' clearly.
Leaving out the 'se'
Mistake: “Yo gradué el año pasado.”
Correction: Yo me gradué el año pasado. You need the 'me' to show you were the one who finished the degree.
