状態を表す
誰かが「喪に服している」と言うには、「estar de luto」というフレーズを使います。英語のように「 mourning」を動詞として使うことは通常ありません。
「de」を使った服装表現
喪のために黒い服を着ることについて話すときは、「vestir de luto」を使います。これは、喪失後の暗い色を着用するという文化的な伝統を特に意味します。
「el luto」をプロセスとして使うのは避ける
間違い： “Estoy haciendo el luto.（私は喪の期間を過ごしています。）”
正しい表現： Estoy de luto（私は喪に服しています）または Estoy pasando el duelo（私は悲嘆のプロセスを経験しています）。
