男女で形が変わらない単語
「docente」という単語は語尾が変化しません。男性か女性かを区別するには、前の冠詞（el/la）を変えます。男性なら「el docente」、女性なら「la docente」となります。これは日本語の「先生」が男女で形が変わらないのと同じです。
より専門的な「教師」
「profesor」は生徒が生徒の授業で教師を呼ぶ際に使われますが、「docente」は公式文書やニュース報道で使われる専門的な肩書きです。日本語でいう「先生」と「教員」のような使い分けに似ています。
「docenta」と言わないように注意
