Doler + Subjunctive

Mixing Physical and Emotional Contexts

Mistake:Me duele la noticia (I hurt the news).

Correction: Me entristece la noticia (The news saddens me). While 'doler' works, 'entristecer' or 'dar pena' are often smoother for general bad news.
