Keys insert at the cursor or replace selected text. Add a vowel mark immediately after its letter. Backspace removes one Unicode character, including a vowel mark if it is last. Undo keeps up to 50 edits during this visit; text is not saved after closing the page.
Physical key mapping
The optional mapping follows the unshifted Arabic 101 letter positions. It affects only this editor, leaves system shortcuts alone, and does not change your operating-system keyboard.
Make sense of what you’re practicing
Type letters in reading order
Enter the first letter of the word first; the editor displays Arabic from right to left and connects letters automatically. Do not reverse the character order or add spaces to imitate joined forms.
Add harakat after the consonant
Type ب followed by fatha to produce بَ. Shadda can combine with a vowel mark. Backspace can remove a mark independently. Removing harakat preserves hamza and madda because they belong to the spelling.
Lam-alif is still two letters
The لا key inserts lam followed by alif; the font joins them into a ligature where appropriate. The tool does not encode words as pictures or substitute decorative presentation glyphs.
Copyable Unicode text
The output is ordinary Arabic Unicode text that can be pasted into messages, documents, and search fields. Text remains in this browser and is not sent to a typing service. Download before closing if you want to keep it.
