About the handwriting model
Russkopis is a Cyrillic cursive font by MihailJP, with outlines credited to George Douros and Andrey V. Panov. It is locally hosted under its X11 license. This is a font model for letter recognition and tracing, not an animated stroke-order lesson. Handwritten shapes and joins vary between writers; use your teacher’s model for a prescribed school style.
Make sense of what you’re practicing
Russian cursive looks different from print
Some lowercase shapes can surprise a learner: cursive т can resemble a Latin m, and cursive д can have a loop below the line. Compare one printed word with its cursive model, then read the whole word rather than guessing from a single shape.
Trace, then write without the model
Start with a short familiar word. Follow the light tracing row, keeping the letter size and baseline consistent. Use the blank row to write the same word independently. Repeat a small set carefully before filling pages with long passages.
Keep similar letters distinct
Practice и, ш, щ, ц and т slowly. Count the repeated strokes and notice the tails. Words such as минимум and тишина help you learn to recognize a letter sequence in context, where individual strokes can look alike.
A font is a model, not a handwriting rule
There are several legitimate handwritten forms and ways to join letters. This tool shows one Cyrillic cursive typeface; it does not teach pen direction or assess your handwriting. For stroke order, use a teacher’s demonstration alongside the printable practice.
