Korean input methods build a syllable over several keystrokes. ㅎ, 하 and 한 can be stages of the same input. Feedback waits while composition is active, and Unicode normalization treats decomposed and composed Hangul consistently.
Accuracy before speed
Start with the basic syllable row and aim for a correct final text. Then practice short sentences. This test counts complete characters, including spaces and punctuation, rather than physical key presses or English-style words per minute.
